Wind obviously picked up from this morning when it was reading 17 - 22 mph on the webcam. Got to the reservoir about 11am and rigged the Storm 6.0m (my smallest sail) with the techno 283. Sailing was hard work, seemed to be overpowered and wished I had a 5.4m sail to use instead but the 6.0 is the smallest sail I have. Anyway, was such hard work that I only stayed a couple of hours and left about 2pm. Only 2 stars for this session because I didn't really feel in control and it was such hard work and there was almighty chop. And it was cold. Even in my steamer with undervest it was cold and my hands were freezin too. Guess its that time of year. Anyway wished I had a smaller board and a smaller sail. Currently thinking of buying a JP Xcite 135 litre and getting myself a 5.4 metre sail or summit maybe another storm for these windy days and a new 75% carbon mast hehe. The way I see it is although I had a relatively crap time, it was worth trying. Got back home and checked the webcam and its now currently blowing 38mph. Guess I left at the right time hehe.
